Hi, I'm Shane.

Shane Ausmus

I'm a data strategist and GTM engineer at Verkada, a physical security start-up in the Bay Area. I currently work within Sales Operations on a specialized data governance team, building tooling, defining metrics, and partnering with sales and marketing to standardize and enrich data at scale. I'm an incoming graduate student at MIT, pursuing my MBA/M.S. EECS as a Leaders for Global Operations Fellow.

Before Verkada, I studied economics and computer science at Vanderbilt University. After graduation, I spent two years as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, working across private equity and public sector engagements. On the side, I generate training data for AI models through DataAnnotation.

I'm interested in AI research and applications across data infrastructure/modeling, GTM orchestration, and machine intelligence. I'm building something new and am always curious to learn from founders operating in these spaces.
